Must have’s

* AAT qualification or equivalent

* Experience working to trial balance level, including sales ledger, purchase ledger, bank processing and management accounts production

* Good working knowledge of Sage

* Intermediate MS Office skills and ability to learn bespoke systems

* Strong people skills with the ability to manage a team and deliver individual projects when required

* Ability to prioritise personal and team workloads to meet monthly reporting deadlines

So, what will you be doing?

* Allocate and oversee tasks within the accounts team to ensure accurate and timely processing

* Act as escalation point for credit control, flagging debts over 60 days to the Finance Manager

* Ensure monthly reconciliations are completed within deadlines

* Manage the asset register, ensuring capitalisation aligns with company policy

* Oversee stock control to maintain accurate stock levels

* Support accounting activities to ensure accuracy, efficiency and effectiveness

* Provide financial transaction support, query resolution and reporting to wider business teams

* Prioritise workload to deliver maximum value to customers

* Assist with reviewing, improving and implementing financial procedures across the business
