Assistant Management Accountant

We are currently working with a fantastic client who are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Assistant Management Accountant in this newly created role into their current finance team and report directly into the Finance Manager.

This role is ideal for an AAT-qualified (or nearly qualified) candidate who is wanting to develop their exposure to the management accounting processes. Working closely with your peers, you will support key financial processes and gain valuable exposure to internal expenditure and budgeting, cashflow reporting, and assisting with monthly balance sheet work.

Key responsibilities of the Assistant Management Accountant role:
Assist with preparation of monthly management accounts alongside the Finance Manager
Manage the profit and loss production across multiple cost centres within the Group
Process accruals and prepayments
Perform balance sheet reconciliations
Monitoring daily and weekly cashflow forecasting and bank reconciliation
Support cost and expenditure analysis
Mange the company credit cards and payments
Assist with month-end and year-end procedures
Provide ad hoc financial support to the wider business

Already the successful candidate will have gained some of the following:
AAT Level 3 / Level 4 qualified (or studying towards Level 4)
Previous experience in a finance or accounts role, with a solid working knowledge of transactional processing
Experience using accounting software (Sage 50/200, Excel)
