Assistant Management Accountant

Location - Whiteley (Hybrid)

Salary - £32,000 - £35,000

Our client, a leading organisation, is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Management Accountant to join their dynamic and supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity to grow your management accounts experience, working across both UK and international entities.

The Role

As part of a dedicated Management Accounts team, you will play a key role in delivering accurate financial information and supporting business performance. Your responsibilities will include:

Conducting bank reconciliations across multiple companies and currencies Preparing and posting journals Completing balance sheet reconciliations and resolving control account queries Setting up payments in banking systems and monitoring approval workflows Performing cost analysis on P&L codes and investigating monthly variances Reviewing cost analysis against budget and contributing to the forecasting process Reviewing finance packs, adding commentary, and responding to queries Attending monthly meetings with group support heads to discuss spend and budget variances Assisting with ad hoc projects as required Supporting process improvement initiatives and identifying opportunities to enhance financial processes

About You

We're looking for a detail‑driven, proactive individual who enjoys working both independently and as part of a collaborative team. The ideal candidate will bring:

Experience in management accounts Part or full AAT qualification Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUPs and pivot tables essential) Experience in a multi‑company, multi‑currency environment (advantageous) A positive, solutions‑focused approach Confidence engaging with stakeholders at all levels and the ability to build effective, collaborative relationships
