Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant Operations Manager to lead a small on‑site manufacturing team producing high‑performance components for demanding engineering customers. This hands‑on role is suited to someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, precision‑driven environment and has a strong track record of delivering operational excellence.

The Assistant Operations Manager – Motorsport Manufacturing will:

Lead, motivate, and manage a small operations team to deliver high‑quality products on time. Oversee daily manufacturing activities including scheduling, workflow, and resource allocation. Maintain and improve operational processes to drive efficiency, quality, and cost‑effectiveness. Build strong customer relationships, ensuring requirements are clearly understood and consistently met. Monitor key performance metrics, identify risks, and implement timely corrective actions. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and operational performance.

The Assistant Operations Manager – Motorsport Manufacturing will have:

Proven experience within manufacturing operations management (motorsport, automotive, or precision engineering ) Strong leadership experience managing small on‑site teams. Excellent problem‑solving, organisational, and communication skills. Good understanding of lean manufacturing, process optimisation, and quality systems. Experience managing customer relationships in high‑pressure technical environments. Knowledge of health, safety, and regulatory compliance in manufacturing. Experience with CNC machining, assembly, or motorsport component production. Familiarity with motorsport industry standards and expectations.
