Job Description
A growing construction consultancy based in Birmingham is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join their residential team. This Assistant Project Manager will support the delivery of new-build apartment schemes, build-to-rent developments and suburban housing projects across the Midlands. The Assistant Project Manager will work alongside experienced Project Managers on developer-led schemes ranging from £8m-£50m.
This Assistant Project Manager role offers exposure to both private and affordable residential projects within a fast-paced consultancy environment.\n\nThe Assistant Project Manager will assist in managing projects from planning approval through to practical completion, supporting procurement under JCT Design & Build contracts. The Assistant Project Manager will be involved in programme tracking, risk management and stakeholder coordination across multidisciplinary design teams. You must have prior construiction consultancy experience as a Assistant Project Manager to be considered for this role.\n\nThe 'Assistant Project Manager's' role\n\nThe Assistant Project Manager will attend site progress meetings, prepare monthly client reports and assist with contract administration duties.
The Assistant Project Manager will help manage change control procedures, review contractor programmes and monitor quality benchmarks on site. Projects will often involve phased handovers, Section 106 obligations and coordination with funders and local authorities.\n\nYou must have prior construiction consultancy experience as a Assistant Project Manager to be considered for this role.\n\nThe 'Assistant Project Manager'\n\nThe successful Assistant Project Manager will hold a degree in Construction Management, Project Management or a related discipline and be working towards MRICS, MAPM or MCIOB accreditation. Previous consultancy-side experience within residential development is ideal.
