Liberty has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our team, based in Reading. You will be working on a full-time, permanent basis, working 40 hours per week and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of up to £36,000 per annum depending on experience Plus Car Allowance plus benefits!\n\nLiberty is a property services provider to public, domestic and commercial clients across the UK. We’re proud to employ the most talented, driven individuals within the property services sector.\n\nResponsibilities for this Assistant Quantity Surveyor role are: \n\nAssist with the financial and contractual management of numerous construction projects\n\t\nAssist with managing small schemes from tender handover to final account stage\n\t\nAssist the Senior Quantity Surveyor/ Commercial Manager on larger projects\n\t\nMaximise the profitability of each project\n\t\nUnderstand tender process & ability to create appropriate tender documents\n\t\nPrepare commercial agreements with teams to present to senior staff for sign off\n\t\nMaximise value/income\n\t\nWorking to commercial timetable\n\t\nAssist in maximising monthly cash flow position\n\t\nEnsure the appropriate tender margin is met on each project\n\t\nLook for ways to increase margin\n\t\nAssist the Senior Quantity Survey to provide accurate and consistent cost reports\n\t\nManage low value schemes along with contractual position at all stages of the project\n\t\nImplement terms of contracts\n\t\nMaintain awareness of contractual positions\n\t\nEffectively manage risk alongside the Senior Quantity Surveyor\n\t\nUndertake efficient enquiry, quotation and order processing\n\t\nEnsure accurate analyst is subcontractor applications\n\t\nSubmit proposals to Senior Quantity Surveyor regarding the let of contracts to high quality subcontractors based on cost comparison exercises\n\t\nAssist with providing accurate financial and quality compliance analysts prior to placing orders\n\t\nResolve or make suggestions to any issues to Senior Quantity Surveyor based upon monthly reporting and CVR process\n\t\nFollow client reporting process and adherence to schedule of reporting\n\nWhat we are looking for in our ideal Assistant Quantity Surveyor:\n\nPrevious experience on social housing planned and responsive contracts along with experience and knowledge of NHF Schedule of Work.

Be confident with IT skills. Hold the relevant Qualification. Must be flexible in hours of work and travel.
