Your new company & role:

An established main contractor who, due to a period of sustained growth, have a requirement for a Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a permanent basis. This could be a qualified Quantity Surveyor with a few years post-graduate experience, or an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor keen to progress.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an expanding business who can offer real career progression opportunities and have a demonstrable track record of promoting from within.

The successful candidate could be expected to fulfil the following duties:

* Assisting on Sub-Contract agreements maximising profit

* Attending, contributing to, and minuting Internal Team Meetings

* Keeping master files of correspondence on contract

* Preparing Interim Valuations with Senior Surveyor and agreeing amounts for payment.

* Informing Sub-Contractors of Contract variations

* Valuing variations

* Pricing

* Reporting to Senior Surveyor on job performance via cost/value comparisons

* Preparing Surveying Reports

The successful candidate will possess:

* BSc Quantity Surveying

* Relevant industry experience

* Good analytical & problem-solving skills

* A methodical approach

* Excellent numeracy skills

* Ability to work on own initiative.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills

* Proficient in relevant computer programmes (Microsoft Word, Excel etc.)
