Assistant Quantity Surveyor – Civil Engineering Location: East Midlands Salary: Competitive + Package Type: Permanent

A well-established, large regional contractor in the East Midlands is looking to appoint an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial team across a range of civil engineering projects.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy, growing business with a strong pipeline of secured work across infrastructure, groundworks, and major earthworks schemes.

The Role:

Working closely with Senior and Managing Quantity Surveyors, you will be involved in the day-to-day commercial management of projects, including:

* Assisting with cost control and reporting

* Supporting the preparation of valuations and applications for payment

* Subcontractor procurement and management

* Measurement and pricing of works

* Assisting with variations and final accounts

* General commercial administration across live projects

About You:

* Previous experience in a Quantity Surveying or Assistant QS role

* Experience within civil engineering, groundworks, or infrastructure projects

* Exposure to heavy civils and earthworks is highly desirable

* Degree or working towards qualification in Quantity Surveying or similar

* Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach

* Good communication skills and willingness to learn
