Employees enjoy a collaborative environment where ideas are valued, training is encouraged and the work directly contributes to protecting national infrastructure.The Role: Assistant Quantity SurveyorA hands-on, varied position ideal for someone confident managing commercial duties within a specialist construction and manufacturing setting. Working closely with the Commercial Manager, you will take ownership of day-to-day QS responsibilities, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and in line with contractual requirements.Key Responsibilities Prepare, negotiate and manage subcontractor and supplier contracts Lead valuations, applications for payment and variations Manage additional works, notices, payment queries and commercial correspondence Review payment notices and ensure compliance with contractual timelines Support tendering and procurement activities Produce commercial reports and maintain accurate project records Manage final accounts and assist with project close-out Provide wider commercial support to the Commercial Manager as requiredThe Right Person Minimum 2 years experience in Quantity Surveying (construction or manufacturing) Confident preparing applications for payment and managing valuations Strong numerical, analytical and organisational skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Must be eligible for SC Clearance (clean criminal record required) Detail-focused, proactive and comfortable working in a fast-paced environmentWhy Join Them Market leader in high-security and specialist construction solutions Family-run business with a friendly, inclusive culture Genuine opportunities for career development and progression Work on unique, high-profile projects across government and healthcare sectors Competitive salary and benefits package A role where your work has real-world impact and purposeHow to ApplySend your CV to Sally Whittingham or apply online.JBRP1_UKTJ
