Assistant Quantity Surveyor - Mechanical Contractor (Residential)\n\nLocation: London\n Salary: £30,000 - £45,000 DOE + Package\n Sector: Mechanical / M&E - Residential Projects\n Project Values: Up to £12m\n Company Turnover: £30m+\n\nThe Opportunity\n\nDue to continued project wins and sustained growth, our client - a well-established mechanical contractor with a turnover of circa £30m - is looking to appoint an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to strengthen their commercial team.\n\nThe business specialises in delivering high-quality residential projects with values up to £12m, working with reputable developers and main contractors. This is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant QS looking to progress their career within a growing and supportive business.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nAssisting with the commercial management of mechanical (M&E) packages on residential projects\n\nSupporting cost control, valuations, and final accounts\n\nAssisting with subcontractor procurement and account management\n\nHelping prepare monthly cost reports and forecasts\n\nWorking closely with Project Managers and Senior QSs to ensure commercial success\n\nAssisting with variations and change control\n\nAbout You\n\nMinimum 1 year's experience in a Quantity Surveying or commercial role\n\nM&E experience preferred, particularly mechanical, but candidates from other construction backgrounds will be considered\n\nDegree-qualified or working towards a qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field\n\nStrong numerical and analytical skills\n\nEager to learn, develop, and progress within a growing business\n\nWhat's on Offer\n\n£30,000 - £45,000 salary (DOE)\n\nCompetitive benefits package\n\nFull support for further education, including assistance with any current or ongoing financial education commitments\n\nClear career progression within a stable and expanding contractor\n\nSupportive team environment with exposure to high-value residential schemes
