Assistant Quantity Surveyor Main Contractor | Midlands | Permanent | Derby HQ + Site Travel

The Role:

Looking to build your QS career with one of the UK's most established main contractors? This is a great opportunity to join a well-supported commercial team where you'll get real project exposure not just paperwork.

You'll be based out of their Derby office and work on sites across the Midlands, supporting Senior QSs and Project QSs on live schemes. Ideal for someone hands-on, hungry to learn, and comfortable getting stuck into both office and site work.

The Projects:

•Design & build schemes in the commercial, industrial, education, and retail sectors

•Mix of new build and large-scale refurbishment

•Project values typically from £5m to £30m

•Midlands-based projects (sites within travel from Derby HQ)

What they're looking for:

•Assistant QS or Trainee QS experience with a main contractor

•Trade background a plus someone who understands how sites work

•Confident supporting procurement, valuations, variations, and payments

•Based within reach of Derby with flexibility to travel to sites across the Midlands
