Mechanical & M&E Projects (£50k£8m)An established and growing engineering business in Ilkeston is looking to appoint an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial delivery of mechanical projects across the UK.This role sits within a specialist controls and M&E division delivering projects ranging from £50k to £8m, with a typical project value of £12m.This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor with around 2 years experience who is looking to take more ownership of packages within a supportive commercial team.The RoleAs Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will support the commercial management of elements across multiple projects.Responsibilities will include:Assisting with cost management and budget controlSubcontractor procurement and package managementValuations and variationsSupporting CVR processesCost reportingWorking closely with Project Managers and EngineersSupporting final accountsYou will gain exposure to projects from pre-contract through to final account.What Were Looking For2+ years experience in a Quantity Surveying roleExperience working on mechanical, M&E, LV or MV projects preferredUnderstanding of subcontractor managementExperience with valuations and variationsCommercially aware and detail-orientedDegree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying or similar (preferred)This role would suit someone currently working as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor or Graduate QS ready for the next step.Whats On Offer£35,000 £45,000 basic salaryPension25 days holidayClear progression into Quantity Surveyor levelExposure to projects up to £8mIf youre looking to develop your career within a growing engineering business delivering technically interesting projects, apply now.JBRP1_UKTJ
