With a solid pipeline of exciting projects across the East and West Midlands, this is a brilliant opportunity to get hands-on experience with projects in construction, fit out, refurbishment, and building envelope – typically ranging from £5 million to £30 million in value.\nBased out of their friendly and well-established Nottinghamshire office, you’ll work closely with experienced professionals who are genuinely committed to mentoring and helping you grow.\nThe Role – Assistant Quantity Surveyor\nAs an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you’ll support the commercial team in delivering high-quality projects from pre-construction through to final account. This is a great stepping stone for someone early in their QS journey who wants to learn the ropes in a fast-paced but supportive environment.\nKey Responsibilities of the Assistant Quantity Surveyor:\n * \n Support quantity surveyors and senior quantity surveyors with day-to-day commercial tasks\n * \n Assist in preparing cost plans, budgets, and tender documents\n * \n Help with valuations, measurements, and interim applications for payment\n * \n Support in procuring subcontractors and managing their accounts\n * \n Attend site visits and meetings to gain exposure to live project environments\n * \n Assist in reviewing and understanding JCT, D&B, and NEC contract terms\n * \n Keep records of site progress, variations, and material costs\n * \n Contribute to the preparation of CVRs and monthly cost reports\n * \n Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders\n * \n Stay organised, keen, and willing to learn from experienced team members\nWhat We’re Looking For in an Assistant Quantity Surveyor:\n * \n 1–2 years of experience in a QS or AQS role (main contractor )\n * \n A relevant degree or working towards one (e.g.
