Assistant Contract Surveyor - Major Residential Developer Location: Cambridge Salary: £30,000 - £45,000

PSR Solutions are currently recruiting for an Assistant Contract Surveyor to join a leading, award-winning residential developer with a strong presence across Cambridge and the wider region.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the management of project costs and cash flow, ensuring accurate reporting and financial forecasting Support procurement activities, including the preparation and issue of subcontractor orders in line with programme and budget requirements Work collaboratively with Technical and Production teams to identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities within designs and work packages Assist in the management of subcontractor accounts, including valuations, re-measurements, variations, and timely payments Prepare detailed cost valuations and financial reports, supporting the agreement of final accounts Contribute to value engineering processes to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising qualityRequirements:

Degree qualified or working towards a qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline A solid understanding of construction processes, cost control, and procurement Knowledge of ISO9001 Quality Management Systems and Health & Safety practices Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working A proactive mindset with strong attention to detail and accuracyWhat's on Offer:
