Assistant Remedial Engineer
Essex (Field-Based)
£30,000-£35,000 + Training + Private Healthcare + Progression
Are you a hands-on individual with a mechanical or technical background, looking to build a long-term career in fire safety and compliance within a growing and supportive business?

In this role, you will support experienced engineers on-site, assisting with fire safety remediation works, ventilation cleaning, and fire damper testing. You will gain exposure to industry standards and compliance processes while developing your technical skills across a variety of projects.
This role would suit an Assistant Engineer, Junior Engineer, or Technician with a practical mindset, looking to develop a specialist skillset and build a career in fire protection and compliance.
The Role
- Assist with fire safety remediation and compartment works
- Support fire damper testing and ventilation cleaning
- Work alongside senior engineers on-site
- Follow compliance standards and safety procedures
- Field-based role (Essex / surrounding areas)
- Practical or technical background (engineering/maintenance desirable)
- Eager to learn and develop new skills
- Positive attitude and adaptable to site work
- Full UK Driving Licence (required)
- Any fire safety or air hygiene experience (beneficial, not essential)
