We are recruiting an Assistant Restaurant & Bar Manager to join a prestigious country house hotel in the stunning Lake District near Ambleside, offering an outstanding opportunity within a highly regarded food and beverage operation.

As Assistant Restaurant & Bar Manager, you will support the senior management team in the day-to-day running of the restaurant and bar, ensuring high standards are maintained across all services.
This is a hands-on floor-based role requiring a confident hospitality professional with strong food and beverage knowledge and the ability to lead from the front.
You will work closely with an experienced team of nine, helping to guide service, train staff, and ensure every guest receives polished yet warm hospitality.
Candidates with experience in tasting menus, quality la carte service, and high-end environments will be particularly well suited.
Duties:
Support the running of restaurant and bar operations
Lead service during breakfast, afternoon tea, and dinner
Assist with staff training, supervision, and development
Ensure exceptional guest service at all times
Work closely with kitchen and management teams to ensure seamless service
Maintain standards of presentation, cleanliness, and professionalism
Help drive wine, beverage, and upselling opportunities
