Assistant Restaurant Manager - New Opening

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the leadership of the front-of-house team for an exciting new restaurant project near Henley. As Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will work closely alongside the Restaurant Manager and owners to help lead and inspire the restaurant team, supporting the day-to-day running of the operation and ensuring the highest standards are consistently delivered.

This is a hands-on role suited to a proactive and enthusiastic leader who brings personality to their work and helps motivate the team to provide a warm, memorable guest experience. You will be fully committed to excellence in service and operations and will play an important role in maintaining the culture and standards of the restaurant.

An exciting new country inn currently undergoing a major transformation, with the building being redeveloped to a truly best-in-class standard. Located in a rural setting between Henley-on-Thames and Marlow, the property will offer four luxury bedrooms alongside a 45-cover pub and restaurant. The owners vision is to create a high-quality, professional environment without unnecessary fuss, focusing on warm, genuine hospitality. The Person

The successful Assistant Restaurant Manager will have the following:

Minimum 1 year experience in a supervisory or Assistant Manager role in a premium or fine-dining environment Hands-on, reliable, and passionate about hospitality Strong communication skills, with the ability to support training and motivate front-of-house teams Positive, can-do attitude and natural leadership qualities Good wine knowledge - WSET Level 2 or above preferred Interest in farm-to-fork dining and sustainability Good knowledge of food hygiene, health, and safety standards
