Assistant Site Manager \nLocation: Lancaster \nType: Freelance \nDay Rate: Competitive day/hourly rates \n\nWe are currently seeking an Assistant Site Manager to join our freelance residential housing team in Lancaster. This role requires a minimum of two years experience within the new build sector.\n\nThe role will focus on finishing works, quality control, snagging, and supporting the smooth delivery of plots through to handover, while maintaining high standards of health & safety and customer satisfaction.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nSupport day-to-day site operations alongside the Site Manager\nCoordinate finishing trades across multiple plots\nManage snagging lists and ensure defects are closed out efficiently\nCarry out quality inspections at key stages of build\nSupport customer care processes, including plot handovers and demonstrations\nLiaise with subcontractors to maintain programme and quality standards\nAssist with health & safety compliance on site\nEnsure all homes meet company and NHBC (or equivalent) standards\nMaintain clear communication with site teams, customers, and subcontractors\n\nRequirements\n\nPrevious experience as an Assistant Site Manager in residential house building\nStrong understanding of finishing works, snagging, and quality control\nExperience working on volume housing developments\nStrong communication and organisational skills\nAbility to manage multiple plots and subcontractors\nSMSTS or SSSTS, CSCS Card, and First Aid\n\nWhat's on Offer\n\nCompetitive day/hourly rates \nOpportunity to work on a well-ran residential developmentsIf you are an experienced Assistant Site Manager looking for your next freelance opportunity, we would love to hear from you.\n\nPlease contact Sophie on (phone number removed) or apply below
