Assistant Site Manager\n\nLocation\n\nEast Midlands, Nottinghamshire, Nottingham\n\nJob Type\n\nTemporary, full-time hours Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm and optional weekend work\n\nStart date: 2nd March 2026 \n\nDuration: 6 months with temp to perm opportunity\n\nSalary\n\n £230 - £240 per day CIS or Umbrella\n\nCompany Overview\n\nA market leading construction business seeks an Assistant Site Manager for a long-term placement in Nottingham. The project involves a partial new build and refurbishment of student accommodation in Nottingham City Centre. This role is pivotal in overseeing the internal stages of the project, working closely under the guidance of the Senior Site Manager.\n\nJob Duties\n\nSupport the Senior Site Manager in the daily management of site activities, ensuring operations run smoothly and efficiently.\nSupervise internal construction works, including coordination of trades and monitoring progress against programme milestones.\nEnsure compliance with health and safety regulations on site, promoting a safe working environment at all times.\nMaintain accurate records of site activities, including daily reports, labour and materials tracking.\nAssist in managing subcontractors and liaise with suppliers to secure timely delivery of materials.\nContribute to quality control procedures, ensuring work meets project specifications and standards.\nIdentify and resolve site issues promptly, escalating concerns where necessary to maintain project timelines.\nParticipate in site meetings and communicate effectively with project stakeholders.\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\nSite Supervisors’ Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) certificate\nValid Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card\nFirst Aid certification\nFull, valid driving licence\n\nExperience\n\nProven experience in construction site supervision, preferably within residential or student accommodation projects.\nFamiliarity with internal fit-out works and refurbishment processes.\nExperience in managing subcontractors and coordinating on-site activities.\n\nKnowledge and Skills\n\nStrong understanding of construction methods, particularly related to internal works and residential developments.\nGood organisational and time management skills.\nAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with various project teams.\nCompetent in site administration and record keeping.\nProactive approach to problem solving and decision making on site.\n\nWorking Conditions\n\nThe role is site-based, requiring work in varying weather conditions and adherence to site safety protocols.\nFull-time hours with optional weekend work.\nUse of personal protective equipment is mandatory.\nTravel to and from the site location in Nottingham City Centre is required.\nIf you are available immediately and interested, call Chloe on (phone number removed)
