EXPERIENCE WASTE & RECYCLING PROCESSING OPERATIONS MANAGER REQUIRED TO OVERSEE A PRODUCTION TEAM AT A BUSY SITE

TITLE: Assistant Site Manager / Operations Supervisor – Hazardous Waste

SALARY: Circa £35,000

LOCATION: Oldbury area

YOU WILL HAVE WORKED IN HAZARDOUS WASTE AS A: Waste Operations Team Leader, Hazardous Waste Transfer Station Supervisor, Chemical Waste Processing Plant Shift Manager, Deputy Hazardous Waste Operations Manager, Senior Site Chemist, Hazardous Waste

ROLE: Operations Manager – Waste Management Plant / Recycling Site

Oversee day‑to‑day site operations, managing staff, allocating tasks, and ensuring all work and documentation is completed safely, compliantly, and on time.

Support the Site Manager with planning, toolbox talks, reporting, and daily briefings, while proactively managing Health & Safety, PPE compliance, and environmental standards.

Ensure equipment maintenance and LOLER requirements are met, oversee compliant loading, offloading, waste segregation, and weighing processes, and manage visitors and contractors through inductions and safety checks.

Monitor on‑site issues, liaise with operatives and transport teams, identify process improvements, and ensure all bulk transfer and TFS shipments meet regulatory and documentation standards.

EXPERIENCE: Operations Manager – Waste Management Plant / Recycling Site

You MUST have experience managing or supervising a team on a Hazardous Waste Treatment or Transfer Site

Useful qualifications: COTC / WAMITAB, NEBOSH or IOSH

You will have a UK Driving Licence

YOU WILL HAVE WORKED IN HAZARDOUS WASTE AS A: Waste Operations Team Leader, Hazardous Waste Transfer Station Supervisor, Chemical Waste Processing Plant Shift Manager, Deputy Hazardous Waste Operations Manager, Senior Site Chemist, Hazardous Waste
