Assistant Site Manager (Freelance / Temporary)
Location: Abingdon
Duration: Approx. 2 months (potential extension)
Rate: £240 per day

We are currently working with a well-regarded, privately-owned house builder who is seeking an Assistant Site Manager to support one of their residential developments in Oxfordshire.

This is a short-term freelance opportunity with an immediate start, focused on the finishing stages of the build. The role will primarily involve overseeing snagging works and ensuring plots are completed to a high standard ahead of handover.

The Role:
You will work closely with the Site Manager to drive plots through final stages of construction, coordinating trades and ensuring quality control across finishing works.

Key Responsibilities:

* Oversee finishing trades on active plots

* Manage and close out snagging lists

* Ensure high standards of quality and presentation across completed units

* Coordinate subcontractors to meet deadlines

* Assist with health & safety compliance on site

* Support the Site Manager with day-to-day site operations

Requirements:

* Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager within residential housebuilding

* Strong focus on quality and finishing standards

* Proven experience managing snagging and handover processes

* Valid CSCS card (essential)

* SMSTS or SSSTS (preferred)

* First Aid at Work (preferred)
