Location: Dartford Salary: £37,500 working Monday - Friday 8am-5pm

Summary: We are looking for a highly organised and experienced Assistant Transport Manager to support the day-to-day running of a transport operation. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring smooth operations, maintaining compliance, and supporting driver performance while helping to deliver an efficient and reliable transport service.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Transport Manager in the daily management of the transport operation. Ensure the smooth and efficient running of vehicle and driver schedules. Monitor and maintain compliance with all transport legislation, including drivers' hours and tachograph regulations. Provide guidance and support to drivers to ensure high performance, safety, and compliance standards. Assist with route planning, vehicle utilisation, and operational efficiency. Investigate and resolve operational issues quickly to minimise disruption. Maintain accurate transport records and compliance documentation. Support driver briefings, training, and performance management. Work closely with other departments to ensure timely and effective service delivery Key Skills/Experience:
