Here, it will happen.About the roleWe are recruiting for an Associate Director of Data Intelligence & Solutions to join our Advancement Strategy and Operations team. Reporting to the Executive Director of Advancement Strategy and Operations, you will play a pivotal leadership role in enabling the success of UCL’s bicentennial fundraising and engagement campaign. You will lead the strategic direction of data governance, business intelligence and the Advancement technology ecosystem, ensuring that UCL’s fundraising and engagement activity is underpinned by robust, secure and innovative data and insight capabilities.Working closely with colleagues across Advancement and wider Professional Services teams, including Information Services Division, Finance and Research and Innovation Services, you will oversee the development and continuous improvement of Advancement’s data strategy, systems and analytics. You will ensure the effective management of the Advancement CRM and associated technology platforms, enabling high-quality data, integrated systems and sophisticated reporting that support decision-making across the division.You will also lead the delivery of business intelligence and data insights that inform strategy, performance monitoring and operational priorities. Through the development of dashboards, analytics and reporting tools, you will ensure senior leaders and key stakeholders across UCL have access to accurate, meaningful and actionable insight.As a member of the Advancement Management Team, you will contribute to the strategic leadership of the division and help shape a culture that values data excellence, innovation and evidence-based decision-making as UCL progresses its most ambitious fundraising and engagement campaign to date.This role is eligible for hybrid working with a minimum of 20% on site.Please use the attach cover letter upload option to tell us how you meet the essential and desirable criteria in the person specification.You will bring significant experience leading data governance, business intelligence or technology programmes within a fundraising, advancement, philanthropy or supporter engagement environment. You will have a strong understanding of how data strategy, systems and analytics can enable successful fundraising and engagement activity, supporting strategic decision-making and performance across complex programmes.You will have experience overseeing the governance and strategic development of a CRM database and associated information systems within a fundraising or philanthropy context, alongside the ability to develop integrated data environments that support campaign reporting, donor insights and engagement analytics. Experience working with large-scale fundraising CRM platforms such as Blackbaud CRM would be advantageous.You will be confident building and managing relationships with senior stakeholders across multiple functions, working collaboratively to understand business needs and translate them into effective data and technology solutions. Your ability to navigate complex organisational environments and influence colleagues at all levels will be key to success in the role.With strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, you will be able to interpret complex information, identify opportunities for innovation and ensure that data and technology solutions continue to evolve to support fundraising, alumni engagement and campaign priorities.
