Debt Advisory & Restructuring – Associate Director / DirectorThe FirmAn established independent investment and advisory platform is building a dedicated Debt Advisory and Restructuring practice to complement its wider corporate finance offering. The firm advises a broad range of mid-market and listed corporates, including a long-standing client base with recurring strategic and capital markets engagements. A number of these businesses are now seeking support with refinancing, turnaround and restructuring situations, creating a strong pipeline of mandates.In addition to existing relationships, the team is also winning new work from outside the firm’s historic client base — including recent high-profile restructurings and asset acquisitions from insolvency.The RoleReporting to the Head of Debt Advisory & Restructuring, this is an opportunity to play a central role in the growth of a newly established practice. The successful candidate will work on a wide variety of transactions across refinancing, distressed M&A, stakeholder advisory, and debt raising, supporting companies, investors, and management teams through periods of change.This role suits someone who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment — combining the technical rigour of a top-tier advisory background with the commercial agility of a mid-market outfit free from audit or lending conflicts.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and execute restructuring, refinancing, and special situations mandates.Advise clients on funding options, debt structuring, and stakeholder strategy.Manage transaction workstreams, including modelling, valuation, and preparation of lender or investor materials.Engage directly with boards, management teams, lenders, and investors.Contribute to origination initiatives and development of the practice.Mentor and support junior team members as the platform expands.Candidate ProfileCurrently operating at Associate Director, VP, or Director level within a leading Big 4, boutique restructuring house, or independent investment bank.Proven experience in debt advisory, restructuring, or distressed M&A.High level of technical competence in financial modelling and delivery materials.Confident communicator able to lead client discussions and represent the firm at senior level.Commercial, analytical, and adaptable, with sound judgement in fast-moving situations.Familiarity with both private and listed company contexts is advantageous.Availability to start immediately or at short notice preferred.The PropositionEntrepreneurial, independent culture with scope to help shape a growing practice.Exposure to significant client contact and transaction responsibility from day one.Balanced platform positioned between large restructuring banks and insolvency-driven practices.Competitive, flexible remuneration package for the right candidate. #J-18808-Ljbffr
