By 2030 we aim to be one of the world's leading advisory firms with a truly global footprint.Interpath is seeking a highly experienced and commercially minded Associate Director to join our growing Loan Portfolio Diligence team, with a focus on securitisation and structured finance transactions. In this role you will be responsible for overseeing complex engagements, managing client relationships, and driving the growth and development of the practice.You will lead teams delivering loan-level diligence, re-underwriting, data verification, lending policy review, and AUP testing across a wide range of private and public securitisation transactions. You will also play a key role in ensuring high quality risk management on engagements, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to business development.The role offers significant variety and exposure across a broad range of structured finance transactions. We perform diligence for private financing deals including asset-based lending and forward flow transactions, as well as portfolio sales, significant risk transfers, and full public securitisations. Our clients include banks, investment funds, asset managers, loan origination platforms, and fintech lenders and we work across all asset classes, such as residential and commercial mortgages, auto loans, consumer credit, SME lending, asset finance, and more.Key Responsibilities:Lead and oversee the delivery of complex loan portfolio diligence engagements across private and public securitisation transactions, providing quality control checks and oversightProvide experienced review and challenge of lending policies, underwriting standards, and portfolio performance metricsResponsible for ensuring high-quality risk management of engagements, including adherence to required policies and procedures.Provide strategic input on scoping of engagements, risk assessment, and transaction executionManage and deepen relationships with senior client stakeholders, acting as the primary point of contact for a transactionGuide and mentor junior team members, sharing knowledge and experience and fostering a culture of high performance and continuous learningDrive business development initiatives, including proposal development, client pitches, and thought leadershipCollaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g. wider Debt Advisory, M&A and Restructuring teams) to deliver integrated solutionsContribute to the development of internal methodologies, tools, and training programmesContinually monitor market trends, regulatory developments, and innovations in structured finance, sharing knowledge with the teamRequirementsMinimum of 6 to 8+ years of experience in structured finance, credit risk, loan underwriting, or securitisationStrong track record of leading complex engagements and managing client relationshipsDeep understanding of securitisation structures and credit risk assessmentExperience with AUP engagements and public securitisation reporting (e.g., ESMA templates, prospectuses)Proficiency in Excel is required; familiarity with cash flow modelling and data analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Python, Power BI) is a plusStrong communication and presentation skills; able to convey complex information clearlyCommercially astute, with proven transaction leadership, and project management skillsSelf-motivated, with a passion for developing people and growing a high-performing teamAbility to work both independently and collaboratively in a team settingCommitment to professional development and continuous learningBenefitsBenefitsAt Interpath, our people lie at the heart of our business.
