Major Infrastructure Programme

London | Hybrid (3 office days + 2 remote)

£80,000 – £90,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus + Benefits

The Opportunity

We are supporting a leading infrastructure consultancy in appointing an Associate Director, Project Controls to support the delivery of integrated controls across major infrastructure programmes.


This is a senior, delivery-focused role working closely with programme and commercial leadership to ensure cost, schedule, risk and change are effectively managed across complex live projects.

Sitting below Project Director level, this role offers significant influence across programme performance while remaining close to delivery.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead integrated project controls delivery across cost, schedule, risk and change disciplines
  • Drive robust forecasting, variance analysis and performance reporting
  • Ensure effective integration between cost and schedule, including earned value management (EVM)
  • Oversee risk quantification and change control processes
  • Provide clear, data-driven insight to support commercial and delivery decisions
  • Act as a senior interface between delivery teams and client stakeholders
  • Facilitate performance reviews and reporting forums
  • Mentor and support project controls professionals across delivery teams


About You

  • Proven experience delivering integrated project controls across major infrastructure programmes
  • Strong technical background in cost management, planning (Primavera P6 or equivalent), risk and change
  • Experience operating within live delivery environments (not solely governance or PMO oversight roles)
  • Good understanding of NEC contract mechanisms
  • Confident engaging with senior stakeholders and translating complex control data into clear insight
  • Experience within rail, transport, utilities, energy or other large capital programmes
