The Role
As Associate Director - Project Manager, you will take a leading role in the delivery of complex and high-profile construction projects across the UK. You will be responsible for managing projects from early feasibility through to completion, ensuring successful delivery across time, cost, quality, and client expectations.
You will act as a key client interface, providing strategic advice, leading multidisciplinary teams, and driving performance across multiple live projects. This is a senior position with both delivery and leadership responsibilities, offering the opportunity to shape project outcomes as well as contribute to the continued growth of the consultancy.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end delivery of construction projects across multiple sectors
Act as primary client contact, building and maintaining strong long-term relationships
Manage project teams including consultants, contractors, and stakeholders
Oversee programme, cost, risk, and quality management across all project stages
Provide strategic advice to clients on procurement, delivery strategy, and project feasibility
Ensure projects are delivered in line with contractual requirements and client expectations
Support business development activity and contribute to securing new work
Mentor and support junior team members, contributing to internal development and growth
Maintain high standards of governance, reporting, and project controls
About You
Proven experience in a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager role within the construction consultancy sector
Strong track record of delivering complex, multi-disciplinary projects
Excellent leadership, communication, and client-facing skills
Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
Strong understanding of construction procurement and delivery routes
Professionally qualified (MRICS or equivalent preferred)
