Associate Director, Research & Insights (12 month FTC)
We are part of Essencemediacom’s Analytics & Insight division; a specialist team of media and
data analysts whose goal it is to deliver brilliant, actionable insights and planning outputs for
our global clients.
The goal of the Research & Insights team is to tell impactful stories about how real people
behave – delivering ‘Breakthrough’ thinking and granular applied audience-focused insights
through brilliant custom projects and new product development for our global clients.
We help our clients understand who their audiences are, how or where they can reach their
audiences, and what to communicate to them.
We invest in best-in-class insight resources and build industry-leading audience insight tools,
working in close collaboration with experts within Essencemediacom globally, GroupM and
WPP.
The role: Associate Director, Global Research & Insights – Client Focus
Identify opportunities for selling consumer research and insight projects to our global clients,
working with our global client account teams and other specialist teams within the
Worldwide Analytics & Insight Division
Manage the delivery of consumer research and insight projects to our global clients
Work with the Directors to identify and implement improvements to our core consumer insight
product offering, in line with Essencemediacom’s ‘Breakthrough Planning’ philosophies.
Contribute to the marketing and promotion of our core product offering within our global
insight network and externally to clients.
Apply and promote our global insight desk research tools on client projects and within our
London Worldwide and Global Insight Network

This role will support all aspects of the Global Research & Insights team’s work across four key
pillars:
- Client Projects
- New Business
- Marketing and training
- Product development
Accountabilities include:
- Leading day-to-day management of global research and insight projects
- Contribution to writing proposals for bespoke client projects
- Development of new insight and research products
- Communication of insight and research products to our network and global account
- teams
A bit about your skills and experience:
- Demonstrable strong quantitative and qualitative research skills and experiencewithin a media and communications environment. Ideally with an international focus.
- Hands-on experience in research design, survey writing, fieldwork management andanalysis
- Relevant research/insight experience (obtained in a research/insight,media agency, social, or digital insights community).
- Knowledge or experience of applying social and digital insight tools
- Evidence of having participated successfully in new business pitches and clientaccount development strategies
- Evidence of being able to work with senior stakeholders (media owners, client leads)
- Strong analytical, research and numerical skills
- Deep curiosity about consumer behaviour and a drive to bring consumer behaviourstories to life through your work
- Experience using syndicated survey tools or questionnaire design
- Knowledge and application of analytics tools such as survey cross-tabbing tools, SPSS
- or R.
- Experience or knowledge of qualitative research methods
