Job Description

We are looking for an HR Business Partner who combines commercial thinking with practical delivery.

This role sits within our HR Business Partnering team and works closely with senior leaders to enable performance, strengthen capability, and enhance the employee experience. While you will contribute to workforce planning and broader people strategy, this is very much a hands-on role. You will own work end-to-end, managing cases, drafting documentation, coaching managers, analysing data, and ensuring decisions are implemented effectively.

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced HR generalist who wants real breadth, meaningful exposure to leaders, and the chance to build strong business partnering capability through doing, not delegating.

What You’ll Be Responsible For:

Partnering the Business

  • Build trusted relationships with Heads of Business Groups and senior managers in the UK with responsibility for other European locations as required

  • Provide commercially grounded, pragmatic HR advice

  • Contribute to workforce planning and succession discussions

  • Ensure people plans align with business priorities

Employee Relations & Risk Management

  • Lead and manage the full spectrum of Employee Relations (ER) cases — simple through to complex — overseeing matters end-to-end, including absence, performance, conduct and grievances.

  • Lead investigations and hearings where required

  • Draft clear, defensible documentation and correspondence

  • Balance employment law risk with practical business outcomes

  • Ensure cases are resolved in a timely and fair manner

Performance & Capability

  • Equip and coach managers to address performance issues early

  • Support and document performance improvement processes

  • Encourage a culture of accountability and high standards

Change & Organisational Support

  • Support consultation and change processes
  • Draft documentation and ensure legal and procedural compliance
  • Help leaders communicate change clearly and responsibly

Data & Insight

  • Maintain accurate people data
  • Produce and interpret people metrics
  • Use evidence to influence decisions and track impact

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong generalist HR experience, ideally with exposure to business partnering

  • Confidence managing ER cases independently
  • Solid understanding of UK employment law and risk, exposure to other European locations desirable

  • A pragmatic, commercially aware approach

  • Comfort working directly with senior stakeholders

  • High attention to detail and follow-through

  • Ability to balance empathy with professional courage

  • CIPD Level 5 (or working towards) desirable

Why Join Us?

Our HR team is a strategic enabler of growth and performance. We anticipate change, support leaders with confidence, and continuously raise the bar for people practices.

This role offers real scope, meaningful responsibility, and the opportunity to build depth as an HR professional. You will be trusted to own your area supported by the wider HR team and given the autonomy to make an impact.
