We are looking for an Associate to join our Retail Value & Risk advisory team based in our London Offices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting property valuations of retail assets (e.g., shopping centers, high street retail, retail warehouses) for a variety of purposes including loan security, financial reporting, and investment analysis.
  • Analyzing market data, including comparable sales, lease information, and economic trends, to support valuation conclusions.
  • Preparing detailed valuation reports that clearly articulate the valuation methodology, assumptions, and conclusions.
  • Undertaking property inspections and gathering relevant information on-site.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with clients, including property owners, investors, and lenders.
  • Assisting senior team members with business development activities, including preparing proposals and presentations.
  • Staying up-to-date on trends and developments in the retail sector and the broader real estate market.
  • Working collaboratively with other members of the Value & Risk Advisory team and other departments within the company.
  • Contributing to the development of best practices and valuation methodologies.

Skills & Experience:

  • MRICS qualification (or working towards) is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in commercial property valuation, with a focus on the retail sector.
  • Strong understanding of valuation principles and methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical and financial modelling skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant valuation software and databases (e.g., Argus Enterprise, CoStar) is a plus.
  • A passion for the retail sector and a desire to learn and grow within the role.
