Associate Transport Planner - Cambridge

I'm currently working with a highly respected, independent transport and infrastructure consultancy that is continuing to grow its presence in Cambridge. Due to sustained project wins and a strong pipeline of work, they are looking to appoint an Associate Transport Planner to support and help lead projects from their Cambridge office.
\n
This consultancy is well known within the development sector for delivering pragmatic, evidence-led transport solutions across a diverse portfolio including residential, commercial, education, and energy developments. They have built an excellent reputation for technical quality, collaborative working and developing their staff.
\nThe Role\n
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced transport planner looking to step into a senior leadership role, with responsibility for managing projects, supporting junior team members, and playing a key role in winning new business and developing client relationships.

Key responsibilities will include:
\n
\n
\n
Leading transport planning inputs across a range of development projects
\n
\n
\n
Preparing and reviewing Transport Assessments, Transport Statements and Travel Plans
\n
\n
\n
Undertaking transport modelling, accessibility assessments and active travel strategies
\n
\n
\n
Managing client relationships and liaising with local authorities and stakeholders
\n
\n
\n
Supporting and mentoring junior team members
\n
\n
\n
Playing an active role in business development , including identifying opportunities, building client relationships, contributing to bids and helping to secure new work
\n
\n
\n
Supporting the commercial performance and growth of the Cambridge team
\n
\n
\nAbout You\n
I am keen to speak with candidates who have:

Several years' experience in transport planning, ideally within consultancy
\n
\n
\n
Strong technical report writing and analytical skills
\n
\n
\n
Experience preparing development planning documentation
\n
\n
\n
Demonstrable experience or strong interest in winning work, business development and client relationship management
\n
\n
\n
Confidence engaging with clients, developers and local authorities
\n
\n
\n
A proactive, commercially aware and collaborative approach
\n
\n
\n
Progression towards, or achievement of, a relevant professional qualification (desirable)

\n
