School Attendance Officer - Haringey (Ongoing Temporary Role)Hours: 8:00am - 4:15pm, Monday to FridayStart: ASAPLocation: Haringey, North LondonContract Type: Ongoing TemporaryKey Responsibilities Monitor and track daily student attendance and punctuality. Use SIMS (School Information Management System) to record, update, and analyse attendance data. Follow up on unexplained absences through calls, emails, and letters to parents/carers. Produce attendance reports for senior leadership and pastoral teams. Work closely with safeguarding and pastoral staff to identify attendance concerns early. Maintain accurate, confidential records in line with GDPR requirements. Support the wider admin team when needed. Requirements Previous experience in a similar school-based attendance role (essential). Strong working knowledge of SIMS for attendance management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a confidential, fast-paced school environment. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
