This role is ideal for an ambitious and experienced individual who wants to take a senior position with a strong focus on reviewing and mentoring staff.About the RoleIn this role, you will manage a portfolio of clients across audit and accounts assignments, ensuring the highest quality of service and accuracy in all deliverables. A key aspect of this role is reviewing the work of junior team members to ensure compliance, accuracy, and consistency.Your main responsibilities will include:Leading and managing audit engagements from planning to completionPreparing statutory and annual accounts for a diverse client baseConducting thorough risk assessments and testing key controlsReviewing, checking and signing off the work of junior staff, providing guidance and constructive feedbackPreparing management letters and reporting audit findings to clientsCoaching, mentoring, and supporting junior and mid-level team members to improve technical skills and efficiencyMaintaining and developing strong client relationships, providing proactive adviceSupporting Partners with client portfolios and business development opportunitiesEnsuring compliance with professional standards, accounting regulations, and internal processesContributing to process improvements to drive efficiency and qualityRequirementsWho We’re Looking ForThe ideal candidate will have:ACA or ACCA qualification, with desire to achieve RI status in the futureSubstantial experience in audit and accounts within a practice environmentStrong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and audit standardsExperience managing and mentoring junior team membersExcellent client-facing skills with a professional and proactive approachConfidence in handling multiple client engagements and deadlinesProficiency in accounting software such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, or similarThis role offers a competitive salary, hybrid working flexibility, and a professional yet friendly team environment.
