Hybrid & Agile Working: Flexible core hours (10:00–14:00) plus two days working from home

The Opportunity

Ambition is partnering with a highly regarded mid‑tier accountancy firm in Central London to recruit an Audit Manager into its growing Audit & Assurance team.


This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Audit Manager to join a firm experiencing sustained growth, managing a diverse and high‑quality client portfolio including SMEs, complex groups, and larger corporates. Key Responsibilities

As an Audit Manager, you will:

  • Manage a varied portfolio of audit clients across multiple sectors
  • Deliver high‑quality audits while maintaining strong, trusted client relationships
  • Plan, control, and review audit engagements to ensure efficient and timely delivery
  • Lead client meetings, including audit planning and completion discussions
  • Prepare, manage, and monitor budgets to ensure commercial outcomes
  • Allocate work to seniors and trainees, supporting their development and progression
  • Conduct appraisals, sign off training records, and mentor junior team members
  • Complete post‑audit reviews and provide structured, constructive feedback
  • Identify opportunities for additional advisory or value‑added services
  • Support business development through client relationships and internal referrals
  • Contribute to ad‑hoc projects, regulatory work, and wider firm initiatives
  • About You

    We welcome applications from candidates who have:

    • ACA / ICAEW, ICAS, ACCA (or equivalent) qualification
    • Proven experience operating at Audit Manager level within UK practice
    • Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP, FRS 102, and ideally IFRS
    • Excellent leadership, organisational, and client‑facing skills
    • The right to work in the UK (unfortunately, sponsorship cannot be offered)
