The Role – Audit Senior Manager We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Corporate Audit Senior Manager to join our growing Northern Ireland practice. This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for overseeing a significant portfolio of corporate audit clients, leading multiple engagement teams and acting as a strategic adviser to clients and internal stakeholders. Working closely with Partners, you will play a key role in shaping the direction of the audit practice, driving client service excellence and contributing to the continued growth of the firm. You will combine deep technical expertise with strong leadership and commercial awareness, supporting both the development of our people and the expansion of our client base. Key Responsibilities
Managing and overseeing a significant portfolio of corporate audit clients, acting as the primary relationship lead Providing strategic oversight of audit engagements, ensuring quality, efficiency and compliance across multiple assignments Supporting Partners in the planning and delivery of complex and high‑risk audit engagements Reviewing and challenging audit work to ensure technical excellence and adherence to auditing standards Acting as a trusted adviser to senior client stakeholders, providing insight and value beyond the audit process Leading, coaching and developing Managers and wider audit teams, supporting succession planning and talent development Driving business development, identifying opportunities with existing clients and supporting new client wins Contributing to practice management, including resource planning, audit quality initiatives and operational improvements Supporting Partners with the financial performance and growth of the audit portfolio
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with significant post‑qualification experience Extensive experience in corporate audit within a professional services environment Proven track record of managing complex audit portfolios and leading multiple engagements simultaneously Strong technical audit expertise, including experience with complex or high‑risk engagements Demonstrated ability to build and maintain senior‑level client relationships Experience leading and developing Managers and audit teams Strong commercial awareness with experience contributing to business development and practice growth Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills A strategic and solutions‑focused mindset, with the ability to drive improvements and influence outcomes
