AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Perform work as specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards

Test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment

Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning

Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed

Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Current/recent experience as a Used Car Technician: independent shop, tire store, or dealership experience

ASE certifications a plus

Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record

Ability to lift 50 lbs. routinely, daily

High school graduate/GED

Satisfactory employment references

Certifications are but multiple factors will be taken into consideration. Dealership experience is a plus! Are you service-oriented and attentive to detail? WORK SCHEDULE

The work schedule is flexible, typically around 40 hours per week, but there is no cap on hours turned for flat rate techs. Service departments are closed on Sundays and only open until 6 pm during the week.
