Role & What’s in it for the applicant and why would they apply?:

This is a pure AV commissioning role for someone who enjoys taking a system from “installed” to “done properly”.

Responsibilities:

• Commission AV systems across multiple customer sites.

• Take installed systems through configuration, testing, optimisation, and handover.

• Commission Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR) environments (majority of workload).

• Configure and tune DSP platforms and control systems.

• Work closely with installers, subcontractors, and internal teams to resolve issues.

• Lead customer-facing commissioning sessions and walkthroughs.

• Ensure systems meet design intent, performance standards, and client expectations.

• Produce clear commissioning documentation and sign-off reports.

Skills / Must Have:

• Proven AV commissioning experience in commercial environments.

• Strong hands-on experience with DSP platforms such as:

– Q-SYS

• Solid experience commissioning MTR solutions.

• Familiarity with AV ecosystems including:

– Poly

– Cisco

– Extron

– Lightware (or similar AV switching platforms)

• Confident, professional, and comfortable dealing directly with customers.

• Strong troubleshooting mindset and attention to detail.

• Good employment tenure and a track record of seeing projects through.

Nice to Have:

• Experience supporting multi-customer or multi-site AV environments.

• Ability to mentor installers or guide subcontractors during commissioning.

Benefits:

• Salary of £50,000–£55,000 per annum.

• Company van provided if required.

• Mileage paid when applicable.

• Opportunity to work in a close-knit team where you’re not just a number.

• Strong family feel with genuine investment in culture and people.

• Growing business with multiple engineering hires planned.

Salary:

£50,000–£55,000 per annum

Location & Travel:

• Based around Reading / Farnborough / Maidenhead.

• Expected in the office when not on site.
