Job Description

AV Project Engineer\nDerby - Field Based\n£35K per annum plus overtime\n\nOur client is seeking an experienced AV Project Engineer to join their team. Supporting clients around the Derby area you will be supporting with a number of installation Audio Visual projects. You will:\n\n * Carry out the installation of audiovisual systems on site\n\n * Organise and prepare all required materials and equipment ahead of site installations\n\n * Complete first and second fix activities, including structured cabling and AV hardware installation\n\n * Install and connect AV equipment in line with system designs, schematics, and technical drawings\n\n * Apply strong technical knowledge and attention to detail to identify potential issues early and take appropriate corrective action\n\n * Ensure all work is delivered in line with internal company quality standards\n\n * Accurately interpret technical documentation to guarantee correct and precise on-site installation, seeking guidance where necessary\n\n * Maintain engineer vehicles with appropriate stock levels of tools and consumables\n\n * Take responsibility for the sign-out and collection process of equipment and materials required for site work\n\n * Support rack assembly and pre-installation system staging prior to site deployment\n\n * Provide assistance with escalated support issues that require additional engineering input\n\n * Liaise directly with manufacturers to resolve technical queries or issues when instructed\n\n * Where required, supervise and guide junior team members or subcontractors during on-site activities on smaller projects\n\n * Provide consistent updates on the status and progress of assigned tasks\n\n * Ensure all required documentation is accurately completed, signed where necessary, and returned to the appropriate stakeholders\n\nThe ideal candidate will:\n\n * Have a minimum 3 years installing AV equipment\n\n * Have a good level of experience On-site implementing AV installations\n\n * Have certification on CTS AV Essentials, Avixa Elements of System Fabrication & Crestron Engineers Course\n\n * Have excellent verbal and written communication skills\n\n * Be a strong team player\n\n * Have a good level of understanding of technical documentation\n\n * Have a good level of understanding around MS Office software\n\n * Be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines\n\n * Have excellent time management\n\n * Hold a UK Driving License\n\n * Hold no known barriers preventing government and military level security vetting processes\n\n * Be willing to work away overnight anywhere across the UK or internationally\n\n * Must be able to lift and carry items up to 40kg over short distances and use specialist equipment if available
