Job Description
James Adams is looking for an experienced AV Project Manager. This is a permanent role working on a hybrid basis in Birmingham.
Salary is up to £45k depending on experience.
This role is all about taking ownership of AV and collaboration projects from the very start through to delivery, making sure everything lands on time, within budget and to a standard clients are happy with. Security clearance or the willingness to apply will be needed.
Key responsibilities
Project delivery
Overseeing the full lifecycle of AV projects across corporate and event environments. This includes planning, procurement, installation and final testing. Setting clear scope, goals and objectives from day one and pushing projects through to completion.
Stakeholder management
Acting as the main contact for internal teams and clients, managing expectations and ensuring all outputs align with what has been agreed.
Budget ownership
Building and maintaining project budgets, keeping a close handle on spend and making sure resources are used wisely.
Team coordination
Working closely with designers, engineers, contractors and suppliers to keep communication smooth and delivery on track.
Timeline control
Creating realistic project schedules, tracking progress and adjusting plans when needed so deadlines are met.
Documentation and reporting
Keeping project documentation up to date including statements of work, schedules and any changes. Providing clear progress updates to senior stakeholders and clients.
Compliance and safety
Making sure all work follows relevant standards, legal requirements and safety expectations.
Skills and experience
Prince2 is beneficial but training can be provided.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
Confident communicator across clients, suppliers and internal teams.
Good awareness of AV technologies.
A genuine interest in developing within project management.
