We are on the lookout for a talented AV/RF Systems Design Engineer to join our dynamic team! In this role, you will play a crucial part in designing, optimizing, and ensuring the technical integrity of advanced radio and communication solutions. \n\nWHAT YOU WILL DO\n\nSystems Design & Architecture\n
\n
Develop and validate AV/RF system designs and Bills of Materials based on survey data, including GRID Mapping outputs.
\n
Create standardized DAS and RF design documentation while contributing to the continuous improvement of design processes.
\n
Support the selection, testing, assembly, and standardization of technology components for radio and AV network systems.
\n
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and develop RF network architectures.
\n
\n(Optional Upskill Area) Contribute to LMR system components such as fleet mapping, configuration, and RF spectrum analysis as development progresses.
\n
\n\nTechnical Configuration & Optimization\n
\n
Assist in the configuration and programming of RF/AV systems at a system level.
\n
Work alongside installation and sustainability partners on system testing and performance optimization.
\n
Generate technical reports to assess system performance, diagnose issues, and ensure efficient operation.
\n
\n\nAdvanced Technical Support & Troubleshooting\n
\n
Provide Tier 2/3 technical troubleshooting for AV/RF system issues.
\n
Diagnose equipment and system failures, escalating when necessary.
\n
Support RF engineering tasks related to outages or performance concerns.
\n
\n\nTechnical Review & Quality Assurance\n
\n
Conduct peer reviews and quality checks of RF/AV system designs.
\n
Lead technical design reviews and produce accurate as-built configuration documentation.
\n
\n\nResearch & Development Support\n
\n
Engage in R&D initiatives related to RF and communication technology evolution.
\n
Support hands-on technical evaluations, lab testing, and proof-of-concept deployments.
\n
Analyze feasibility, performance, and integration requirements for new technologies.
\n
Present technical findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
\n
\n\nDocumentation & Collaboration\n
\n
Maintain clear documentation of system design parameters, RF coverage plots, and technical project information.
\n
Keep stakeholders updated on project progress and technical developments.
\n
Collaborate across engineering, sustainability, and operations teams to resolve system requirements and issues.
\n
\n\nESSENTIAL CRITERIA\n
\n
3–5 years of experience in an RF, AV, or systems design engineering role.
\n
Experience with analog/digital system design (e.g., DAS, RF distribution; familiarity with P25/DMR/TETRA is beneficial but not mandatory).
\n
Proficiency in using design and system configuration tools.
\n
Strong troubleshooting and technical documentation skills.
\n
\n\nDESIRED CRITERIA\n
\n
Experience with AutoCAD, BIM360/365, or Bluebeam.
\n
Exposure to LMR systems or a strong motivation to upskill into LMR technology.
\n
RF design or software certification (e.g., iBwave or equivalent).
\n
