Azure Cloud Engineer | 3 Month Contract | Fully remote | OutsideIR35

Re‑architect an Azure environment into a secure, production‑grade, enterprise‑ready platform.

Core Responsibilities:

Redesign Azure architecture for scale, reliability, and security.
Implement HA, failover, DR, and BCP.
Harden security: Key Vault, Managed Identities, RBAC, Private Endpoints, NSGs, WAF, DDoS.
Set up audit logging, monitoring, alerting, and incident response (Azure Monitor, App Insights, Log Analytics).
Produce architecture docs + operational runbooks.
Refactor/extend IaC (Terraform).
Ensure reproducible environments and automated deployments across dev → staging → prod.
Required Experience

5+ years cloud engineering, incl. 2+ years at enterprise scale.
Proven track record taking MVP → production.
Strong Azure expertise (App Services, AKS, Functions, API Management, Azure SQL).
Strong Terraform + automation (Python/Bash/PowerShell).
Experience with enterprise security, SLAs, SOC2/ISO27001 expectations.
Experience supporting enterprise customer technical/security reviews.
B2B SaaS scaling experience.
Success Criteria

Full monitoring + alerting.
Automated CI/CD.
Enterprise‑audit‑ready security posture.
