Position: Azure -Data Solution Designer Location: London, UK (Hybrid-2/3 days from office) 6 months contract position
The Role
Data Solution Designer – Enterprise Data Platforms
Role Purpose:
The Data Solution Designer is responsible for the end‑to‑end design of enterprise data solutions and platforms. The role owns architectural patterns, metadata frameworks, lineage models, and overall solution design, while remaining technically hands‑on enough to ensure designs are executable on Databricks.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design enterprise-scale data solutions, including metadata-driven processing, lineage models, and control frameworks
* Define logical and physical data architectures across Raw, Generic, and Business layers
* Own and evolve data platform frameworks, standards, and architectural patterns
* Provide technical leadership and design guidance across multiple Agile delivery squads
* Design and support Databricks workflows, including orchestration and troubleshooting
* Contribute to and review Python-based framework code where required
* Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards
