Azure DevOps Engineer – Testing

Role Overview:

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Designing, building and optimising CI/CD pipelines to streamline testing and deployment workflows
- Implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform to create reliable, repeatable environments
- Deploying and managing secure test environments within Azure
- Building and maintaining Docker-based container solutions for consistent test execution
- Developing scalable automated test frameworks from the ground up using Java and Node.js
- Creating and executing automated test suites covering functional, regression and non-functional testing
- Carrying out robust API testing to ensure seamless service integrations
- Applying service virtualisation to simulate third-party or unavailable systems
- Troubleshooting complex application issues and delivering clear root cause analysis
- Contributing to AI-driven solutions, including LLM integrations within Azure-hosted environments
- Ensuring environments are production-aligned, secure and scalable
- Producing clear documentation around test strategy, planning and outcomes
- Working closely with developers, DevOps engineers and product teams to drive quality across the lifecycle
Main Skills Needed:
- Strong background in software testing and automation engineering
- Experience building automation frameworks from scratch
- Solid programming capability in Java and Node.js
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tooling such as GitHub Actions and Maven
- Proven expertise with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code principles
- Practical experience with Azure cloud services
- Containerisation knowledge (Docker essential; orchestration tools beneficial)
- API testing and service virtualisation experience
- Understanding of performance, scalability and other non-functional testing approaches
- Strong debugging skills within complex distributed systems
- Clear communication and collaborative mindset
- SC clearance
