Backend Engineer (Mid-level) Central London (4 days a week in office) Salary up to £85k plus share options
As backend engineer, you will join a dynamic and innovative pod of backend, frontend engineers, product owners, and designers planning, building and iterating part of the core product. While your pod focuses on a key area of the product, your role will evolve over time giving you exposure and experience across various areas of the product and tech stack.
Core technologies are Python, Django , GraphQL, Go. It is not a hard requirement to have experience with all of the stack , but proficiency with Python and Django is necessary , and ideally some exposure to front-end engineering. Frontend solutions are built for both web and mobile platforms. For observability, DataDog is used for monitoring and alerting, and CI/CD pipelines are managed through GitLab to automate testing and deployment workflows.

You should champion engineering best practices while recognizing when pragmatic solutions are needed to maintain momentum in a fast-moving, high-impact environment.
