Welder (Backshift) - Structural Steel | Richmond

We are currently recruiting skilled Structural Steel Welders for a backshift role in Brompton-on-Swale. This is a great opportunity to secure long-term work with excellent pay and benefits.

Brompton-on-Swale, North Yorkshire

Pay & Contract

Rate: £19.54 per hour (PAYE)

Contract: Temp to Perm (12 weeks)

Excellent opportunity for long-term stability

⏰ Working Hours & Overtime

Backshift:

Monday - Thursday: 2:30pm - 11:00pm

Friday: 2:30pm - 8:30pm

40 hours per week

Overtime (Saturday):

Paid at 1.5x basic rate

️ Main Duties

Structural steel welding of plates and sections up to 100mm thick

Carry out visual inspections in line with specifications

Safe use of grinders and consumables in line with HAVS regulations

✅ Skills & Experience Required

Time-served welder or equivalent qualification (skill test required)

Experience working with structural steel (essential)

Good understanding of health & safety practices

Ability to meet deadlines and production targets
