Vanrath are recruiting for a Band 4 Community Living Support Worker on behalf of a large public sector company in Antrim on a temporary basis. What's in it for you? 37.5hrs/ Job share part time hours Temporary Band 4 £13.57ph About your next employer The Community Living Support Worker will be primarily responsible for assisting social work managers in the provision of quality social work services to young people within the leaving and after care service. He/She will work within a Children's Services Team and will undertake tasks allocated by the Social Work Team Manager to support social workers in the discharge of their duties. The Community Living Support Worker will also be expected to ensure continuing professional development through training, supervision and learning in line with NISCC registration requirements. Evening and weekend work will be necessary What you'll do Direct Practice with Children and Families Undertake work with children and/or parents/carers as directed by the Social Work Manager, Senior Social Work Practitioner or Social Worker in keeping with any support/protection/care plan and in their family support cases. Undertake the arrangements and/or assist with the delivery of services, assessed by social work staff as being needed to support children and families. This will include direct work with children and families. Complete delegated tasks such as co-ordinating family support, diversionary and respite services, sourcing appropriate family support services and other resources. Assist social workers setting up and facilitating family support/case planning meetings. Collate essential information about children and families that will assist social work staff to assess their circumstances and needs. Assist young people and/or parents with practical tasks including budgeting and essential form filling as necessary. Provide general information about services and sign-post to more appropriate services as required. Governance and Reporting Responsibility To report all identified child protection concerns or other areas of concern or risk identified in the course of any work with children and families. Liaise with other agencies in multi-disciplinary work, under the direction of social work staff or the social work team manager. Maintain clear records of all work undertaken. Provide written reports of any tasks delegated by social workers or allocated by the Social Work Team Manager/Senior Social Work Practitioner. Participate in the supervision process with the Social Work Team Manager/Senior Social Work Practitioner. About you NVQ/QCF/RQF Level 3 in a care-related subject* or an educational related subject and 1 years' experience of working with families / children in a formal setting, where the work was regular. OR NVQ/QCF/RQF Level 2 in a care-related subject* or an educational related subject and 2 years' experience of working with families / children in a formal setting, where the work was regular OR 4 GCSEs (Grades A-C) and 3 years' experience of working with families / children in a formal setting, where the work was regular. *For those who do not hold Level 3, should be willing to complete Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care Support Currently hold or be eligible for immediate registration with the NISCC on the Social Care part of the register Hold a current full driving licence IND04 To apply today contact Leanne Garrett in the strictest confidence.
