Role: Banking & Finance Paralegal

Location: London

Salary: £40k - £45k


We are currently looking for a new Paralegal role to join our growing legal Banking department. Our Banking department sits within the wider Real Estate Finance team. This is a permanent position and a great opportunity to work alongside fee-earners with a busy, varied practice to gain valuable experience.


Key responsibilities

  • General matter support and Practice Evolve (our Practice Management System) filing to support the team with administrative tasks.
  • Companies House Registrations.
  • Assisting with the preparation and drafting of legal documents such as loan agreements, security documents, and other transactional documents
  • Support lawyers on key projects and tasks.
  • Write first drafts, proofread and amend legal agreements, advice notes, letters and other documents.
  • Conducting legal research and due diligence to support various banking transactions, including loan agreements, corporate finance, and real estate finance.
  • Managing and organizing client files, ensuring that all documentation is up-to-date and accurately filed.
  • Assisting with the transactional closing process from the initial filing to closing.

  • Good attention to detail. Accurate and thorough.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong and consistent administrative and organisational skills.
  • A team player who is confident sharing information across a broader team.
  • This role will suit a junior professional who is not looking to complete their LPC or SQE studies immediately.
  • Previous Law firm banking experience is preferable. However, we will consider applicants outside of this field who are passionate, hardworking and want to succeed as a Paralegal within Banking.
