The team works closely with multiple departments acr
oss the Society, including Transactional Finance, Change Management, Homes and Money Operations, and our Tech Teams. Together, we drive payment compliance, manage banking incidents, and identify opportunities to enhance processes across Banking and Payments. It’s a collaborative, forward-thinking environment - perfect for a bold, engaged leader with fresh ideas.What Will You Be Doing?Reporting to our Head of Finance Transaction services, you will have an opportunity to be involved in:Providing people management and development support to our Team Specialists, helping them grow and thrive.Leading the implementation of a reporting framework to set and monitor individual and team targets, highlighting the value and impact of the team’s work.Supporting change initiatives in collaboration with the Change Management team, ensuring all requirements are fully understood, clearly articulated, and successfully delivered.Identifying and implementing improvements across our payments and banking operations.What Do We Need From You?To be successful in this role, you will need:Proven experience in people management and team development.Hands-on expertise in creating and embedding structured reporting frameworks.Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with internal stakeholders across the organisation.A proactive mindset and natural problem-solving approach - someone who spots opportunities to improve and isn’t afraid to push the boundaries.Extensive knowledge of the UK financial services payment processing environment including the appropriate regulations.Degree level education or professional accounting qualification.Strong understanding of the Payment Card Industry (PCI) and associated Card Payment processing systems.An understanding of the Direct Debit collection process and associated regulatory requirements.What’s In It For You?Skipton values work/life balance and we are proud to support hybrid and flexible working, where possible.
