About Us: The Victory Services Club (VSC) is a proud registered charity dedicated to supporting serving and retired members of the UK Armed Forces, NATO, Commonwealth nations, and their families. Situated near Marble Arch, the Club offers a welcoming and well-equipped environment with 200 comfortable bedrooms, dining options, and seven versatile Event Rooms available to Club members. Our Event Rooms are an important part of the Clubs operations, generating revenue that directly supports our charitable mission. In addition, the Club runs several schemes to provide free breaks and leisure opportunities for serving Armed Forces personnel, reflecting our commitment to giving back to those who serve. The Role: The Banqueting Assistant plays a key role in the smooth delivery of events by preparing and resetting function rooms to required layouts. This includes the setup and breakdown of tables, chairs, and equipment across seven event spaces located across two floors. The role requires physical capability, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently as part of a team to meet event timelines. Shifts are primarily during evening hours.

The Person The successful candidate will support the setup and breakdown of event spaces, including the safe lifting and movement of furniture and equipment in line with health and safety guidelines. They will work efficiently as part of a team while demonstrating a responsible approach to workplace safety. Reliability, punctuality, and flexibility are essential. Previous experience in an events or catering environment is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
