Trust Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Barnsley (S75) from Easter 2026 until 15th May 2026.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference, providing targeted support to pupils with special educational needs within Key Stage 2. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping pupils access learning, build confidence and achieve their individual goals.

The Role

You will work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to support pupils on a 1:1 or small group basis. Your responsibilities will include assisting with differentiated learning activities, supporting emotional regulation, and helping to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

* Have experience supporting pupils with SEND, ideally within KS2

* Be patient, nurturing and adaptable

* Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills

* Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

* Hold relevant TA qualifications or equivalent experience
